$128K a year.
That's what you'd pay one hire whose whole job comes down to THREE things:
-
being CHRONICALLY online, so they know every trend like the back of their hand
-
knowing what *your company *should post week by week
-
turning a trend into something your team can easily film on a phone
And today we're giving that job to Claude.
Right now, the biggest trend we're tracking on TikTok looks like this: a nostalgic POV shot to this sound… and it's been watched more times than there are people in America.
This morning we rolled out Content Trends inside Virlo. You can now see which trends creators are copying on TikTok this week, and whether you're early or way too late.
So this is a guide to turning Claude into a Head of Content that spots those trends and writes exactly what you should film next.
(Anthropic never shipped Claude Trends… you're about to build it yourself… with… you guessed it… Claude.)
You wake up every Monday to NEW trends your business should film.
And while knowing every trend before your competitors do is nice… the part where Claude writes YOUR version, shot by shot, is where it gets stupid.
But before we build it, here's the job it's taking over.
Write your Head of Content's job description
There are two types of marketers hopping on trends right now.
The first type opens TikTok on Sunday night and drops whatever looks like it's blowing up into the group chat with "should we do this one?"
It never hurts enough to fix… but it steals the last few hours of their weekend, every week.
The second type gave the job to Claude.
They wake up on Monday, read what Claude found, and in five minutes they know what to film, whether they're early, and what to keep the same.
They spent one afternoon setting it up… and now the work keeps moving without them.
Before you touch any tool, write down what a Head of Content actually does in a week:
-
What it's responsible for: knowing which trends to film this week. A content trend is something hundreds of creators copy… a topic is what they talk about.
-
What a perfect Monday looks like: check which trends the most creators posted this week, compare that with last week, pick one that fits, write your version.
-
What it decides on its own: early or late, and whether a trend fits your business or gets skipped.
-
What good work looks like: a trend you can film on your phone today, with what to keep the same and what to make yours.
This is your Head of Content's job description, and everything else builds on it.
Done by hand, that job means two hours on your For You page, saving random videos, guessing whether a sound is a trend, then calling it "research."
Let's fix that.
Find what everyone's filming this week
Open the list next to this, because every trend below is live on it right now:

Sort by "Most creators this week"
Picture this: you run a real estate team doing $2M a year in commission. A $900K listing goes live Friday, your team's asking what to post, and you want a video that puts it in front of buyers who have never heard of you.
But what if I told you it's two months old… and 263 creators posted it this week, up from 67 the week before?
Two months in and it's still speeding up.
An interiors brand is LITERALLY using it to sell its furniture with a "comment-to-shop caption", so there's no reason the same trend couldn't sell your listing.
(Go back a year, when I'd scroll the For You page at 2am hunting for trends, and I would've KILLED for a list like this.)
Find the trend that's hitting this week… then feed it your listing.
Know if you're early or late before you film
Now, I already know the reflex.
"It's probably already saturated."
Sometimes it is... some trends flood in two weeks and die.
Take this makeup transition trend.
Last week, 222 creators posted it. This week… 106.
Half gone in a week.
If you don't know where a trend is in its life, every one you jump on is going to feel like a coin flip, because it is one.
Well, there's a SIMPLE way to know, and you won't have to open TikTok to find out.
Virlo shows you how many creators posted each trend this week against the week before, and gives it a stage:
-
Fresh: early, worth jumping on now
-
Rising: early enough to ride it
-
Peaking: post your version now, before it turns
-
Fading: late, only worth it if it fits you really well
-
Archived: reference only
The then-and-now trend is sitting at Rising… which makes it a trend you film THIS week.
Then each trend comes with its recipe, split in two: what you keep the same, and what you make yours.
Virlo is also strict about what makes the list.
If creators are only using the sound without actually doing the trend, our AI intelligence pipeline flags it and it never goes live.
Then whatever does go live gets rated for brand safety, effort and tone before you ever see it.
Here are four real ones from this week, depending on what you sell:
-
Real estate: the then-and-now trend (Rising). The listing the day you took it, then the same room staged.
-
SaaS: the paparazzi bowing trend (Fresh). Your team bows "to a laptop screen showing a major new feature release."
-
Restaurant or café: the rock paper scissors food trend (Fresh). Staff "play this with a signature platter."
-
Salon: the upside-down makeup trend (Peaking). "A client's transformation… using the beat drop."
And since most trends start on TikTok… you could literally be one of the first people to take one to Instagram Reels and own it there before everyone starts copying it.
Now I want to get you to the point of filming your version. Let's do that.
Turn Claude into your Head of Content (full setup)
Projects is a feature inside Claude that lets you build a custom AI assistant, one that remembers your instructions, follows your rules, and saves every bit of information you give it.
I've written this for everyone, so if you're already comfortable with Claude, skip to Step 2.
Step 1: plug Virlo into Claude. One click, sign in, and Claude can read a database of 18M+ viral videos, including every trend on the list.
Step 2: make the Project. On the left sidebar, hit "Projects", then "New project". Name it whatever you want. I called mine HEAD OF CONTENT, and under the name I put what we sell.
Step 3 (the most important one): the instructions. Without them, Claude is a chatbot… with them, it becomes your own Head of Content. Fill in the brackets and paste this into the Project instructions:
I am [your name], and I run [your business]. I sell [what you sell] to [who you sell to].
You are my Head of Content. Your job is to tell me which content trends to film each week.
When I ask what to film:
1. Use Virlo to pull the content trends creators are copying this week.
2. Rank them by how many creators posted them this week against last week.
3. Skip anything that doesn't fit my business, and tell me why in one line.
4. For each one that fits, give me its stage (Fresh, Rising, Peaking or Fading) and whether I'm early or late.
5. Tell me what to keep the same and what to make mine, then write my version beat by beat: the opening shot, the text on screen and the caption.
Never tell me a trend will go viral. If it's Fading, say it's late.
Your Head of Content is officially hired. It knows your business, who you sell to and what you're trying to film.
Now it's set up, here are the five prompts that run the job:
What trend should I copy this week for my [business]?
Any trend my [business] could jump on this week, before it peaks?
Write me the [trend] version for [what you're promoting this week].
Is it too late to post [trend]?
Which of this week's TikTok trends could I post first on Instagram Reels?
The first one is your Monday question. The other four are for as and when you need them.
As I was writing this, I tested it on the real estate team from earlier.
I dropped in the Monday question…
"What trend should I copy this week for my real estate team?"
And it spit out a trends sheet, ranked by how many creators posted each one this week, with the dances skipped and a line on why.
I picked the then-and-now trend, and Claude took it from there:
"Write me the then-and-now version for Friday's listing."
It wrote the "then" shot... the "now" shot... and the line on screen and the caption… beat by beat.
Took about a minute.
And I don't know SHIT about selling houses.
You can do this in Claude or right inside Virlo.
I use Claude, so that's what I showed you, but asking Copilot on the Trends page works just as well btw.
Your first month with a Head of Content
Week 1: ask the Monday question, film the one trend that fits, post it.
Week 2: if it worked, post another version, then add a second trend.
Week 3: take your best TikTok trend and post it first on Instagram Reels.
Week 4: by now it's a habit you stop thinking about. You check the list on Monday, film on Tuesday, and spend the saved time on work that actually needs your brain.
*(Post for more than one business?
Make one Project per business. Same instructions, different brackets.)***
A Head of Content costs about $128K a year... and even the most chronically online one on the planet can't watch millions of videos before Monday.
Yours can.
INTRODUCING CLAUDE TRENDS.
The marketers who set this up today will know what to film every Monday. The marketers who don't will still be guessing six months from now.
Today, Virlo tells you if you're early or late… and calling trends before they even start is exactly where we're taking this.
Bloomberg did it for markets, Polymarket and Kalshi did it for what happens next… and we're doing it for social media.
Your competitors are still scrolling their For You page every Sunday night hoping to stumble on one… you'll already know what to film.
