AVENGERS DOOMSDAY & SECRET WARS (PART 1)

I will be very honest, when I thought about making an article on the comic counterpart of Avengers: Doomsday, the story of New Avengers, Avengers, and Time Runs Out that leads up to Secret Wars. I was not ready because I knew what a huge task it is and how many stories would need to be covered. If you don't know, then wait a minute, this is the amount of story that we are going to cover in this entire series, and I'm calling it a series because it's impossible to cover it in one article. But yes, one thing is for sure, if you fasten your seatbelts and sit down with some snacks, the fun is going to be unlimited because this is one of the best Marvel stories out there. You just sit down and relax, sit back! And try to look at this from the perspective that we are watching the story before Secret Wars arrives, and how much potential Avengers: Doomsday holds for the X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic Four, Incursions, and Doctor Doom.

So, let's begin. The story begins with Steve Rogers, who has just woken up from his sleep. Tony Stark is standing at his door, and he comes in to ask if everything is okay, but looking at Steve Rogers, he realizes that he has had a nightmare. A dream that he has seen many times, but he just can't make sense of it. He saw that he had the Infinity Gauntlet in his hand, which had the Infinity Stones attached to it. He even used that gauntlet, but things didn't go the way he had planned, and then his own friends turned around and attacked him. But before Steve could see anything beyond this, he would always wake up. Tony asks him if everything is alright. And Steve says that I think everything is fine. And after this,

Tony Stark puts his arm around his friend Steve Rogers 'shoulder and starts telling him about his plans. He asks, do you remember we once dreamed of expanding the Avengers even further? Because we have seen that the threats are gradually moving from a global level to a universal level, and that is why the Avengers' limited roster is actually too limited. So, this is how Steve Rogers and Tony Stark together begin the Avengers World. Where they not only include grounded heroes like Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Luke Cage, but also begin to incorporate even more cosmically powerful superheroes, such as Star Brand and Nightmask.

Now you must be wondering who these superheroes are? I don't know very well myself. But just bear with me here. We will gradually talk about each one and we will find out. Because through this, we will understand how immense the potential of this entire story is.

And then our story shifts to Wakanda. Here, the Wakandan soldiers are undergoing their trial. And after reaching their destination, all these recruits start talking amongst themselves when T'Challa arrives there. Now, one thing to be noted here is that T'Challa is not currently the King of Wakanda.

I mean, what happens is that during an event called Infinity, the Phoenix Force bestows its power upon many people, including many heroes and villains. One of whom is Namor. So Namor, fueled by the Phoenix Force, attacks Wakanda. Anyway, there have always been tensions between Atlantis and Wakanda.

So Namor comes and attacks Wakanda, drowning and killing more than half of its people. And because T'Challa couldn't stop him. He considers himself a failure as a King, steps down from the throne, and places Shuri on it instead. In fact, T'Challa doesn't even live in Wakanda for the time being. He lives in a place called Necropolis, which is known as the City of the Dead. It is said to be the resting place for the deceased Wakandans.

So T'Challa comes there and starts motivating all the recruits. But then, they suddenly realize that there is a portal open right in front of where they are standing. Basically, the portal isn't visible. It looks like a curtain of some sort. And as soon as T'Challa reaches his hand into that curtain, the view in front of him completely changes. Because the sky that looked normal has turned completely red. And even more so, right before his eyes was another Earth.

Before T'Challa could process anything. Some people from that other Earth come and stand in front of him, led by a woman who is commanding them all. She speaks in a language called Old Sumerian that only T'Challa could understand, and after this, a fight breaks out between Black Swan's team and the Wakandans, where the majority of Wakandans are killed, and seeing this, T'Challa loses his temper. He attacks Black Swan in a very brutal way , and this makes us realize that the T'Challa shown in the comic books is on a whole different level. And you will find out. I am telling you, you will find out, bro.

Anyway, T'Challa runs and hits Black Swan. He stops her. But before that, she pulls the trigger. Meaning, she has a device in her hand. As soon as she presses it, the other Earth that had appeared before them, and the Earth the people came from, gets destroyed. And everything becomes normal, as if it never happened. And seeing this, T'Challa understands that the time has come to call an emergency meeting. By emergency meeting, he meant reforming the Illuminati.

Now, if you guys don't know, the Illuminati is a super-secretive group existing in Marvel Comics that includes Tony Stark, Doctor Strange, Reed Richards, Namor, Black Bolt, and Captain America. And of course, Black Panther, since he is the one who called it. Now, this thing is always worth noting: not everyone knows about this group, the Illuminati. In fact, nobody knows. Only its members know about it. And the reason for creating it was that this group can take all those decisions that normal superheroes cannot take because of their morals and ethics. Now you might think, then what is Steve Rogers doing here? Because he has the strongest morals of all. So, for this reason, Steve Rogers has been kept in this group because he will keep them in line . If these people start doing something wrong, then Steve Rogers is the one who will bring them back. And because Namor is in this group. And I recently told you what Namor did to Wakanda. So, the tensions between T'Challa and Namor are very high. And in such a situation,

T'Challa finds Namor in the Necropolis room. After going there, Namor tells him that his arrogance has faded and he had to call him after all. So, T'Challa tells him that our problem right now is much bigger. That is why I am not doing anything. But when this is done, when my wants have replaced my needs, I am going to kill you. And after this, they gather for their meeting where one chair is empty. If you notice, Charles Xavier was supposed to be here, but in the Infinity event, the Phoenix Force reaches Cyclops too. So, what Cyclops does is he actually kills Charles Xavier. That is why the chair is empty, which they will eventually replace with Beast later on.

And here, Reed Richards tells this whole meeting about his conversation after meeting Black Swan. Black Swan tells him that the phenomenon T'Challa just experienced is called an Incursion. Meaning, for some reason, countless universes exist in this entire multiverse, and one of the Earths was destroyed. Because of the destruction of that Earth, a void was created there. Now, to fill that void, two Earths started coming closer to each other, colliding, and getting destroyed. And these people call this phenomenon an Incursion. Now, why are these Incursions happening on Earth? Because it is being said that Earth is the central point of the universe and also the weakest one. That is why Incursions are happening here, and there is a deeper connection that these people don't know yet.

Plus, if an Incursion is happening, you can only witness it from a specific spot. Meaning, if you are sitting at home watching a video and an Incursion is happening in San Francisco, you won't have a clue. But yes, if you are standing at that specific spot in San Francisco and cross that veil, you will see the Incursion. And besides this, Reed also tells them that once an Incursion starts—meaning once they know an Incursion is about to happen— they have a total of eight hours until it takes place.

Then Steve Rogers stands up. He says that we will not give up so easily. Before taking any extreme measures, we will use the most powerful artifact we have.
